🟦 DGGLってなに？

**DGGL（Diversity Gathering for Future Global Leaders）**は、大学院生が自身の研究をわかりやすく伝える力を育むための、英語による対話型セッションです。知識イノベーション研究センターが主催し、研究と社会とのつながりを意識する力や、異なる分野の人々と対話する力を育てることを目的としています。

🟦 DGGLでは何をするの？

🔸 少人数グループで発表とフィードバック、全体でコツを共有

DGGLでは、まず少人数グループに分かれて研究を紹介し合い、相手の理解に合わせた伝え方を試行錯誤します。その後、全体で「より伝わる説明」に向けたコツや工夫を共有し、互いに学び合います。

🔸 自分の研究をわかりやすく語る

参加者は、自身の研究を「高校生や異分野の人にも伝わるように」やさしい言葉で説明する練習を行います。活動は英語で実施し、専門用語に頼らずに話すことで、伝える力と英語表現力の両方を鍛えます。

🔸 多様な研究に触れる

セッションにはさまざまな専門や国籍の学生が参加しており、普段は触れることのない研究に出会えるのも魅力のひとつです。違う分野の視点に驚かされたり、思わぬ共通点を発見したりと、研究者同士の刺激的な対話が生まれます。

DGGL (Diversity Gathering for Future Global Leaders) is a dialogue-based English session where graduate students practice explaining their research in a way that’s easy to understand.

The program, hosted by the Center for Knowledge Innovation, helps students develop the ability to connect their research with society and communicate across different fields.

🟦 What do we do at DGGL?

🔸 Group presentations and feedback, plus sharing tips with everyone

At each session, students split into small groups to present their research and work on adapting their explanations to different audiences. Afterward, everyone comes together to share tips and strategies for getting better at communicating their ideas.

🔸 Explain your research clearly

Participants practice explaining their research in simple words that even high school students or people from different fields could understand. Activities are done entirely in English, helping students build both communication and English language skills.

DGGL offers a friendly and inclusive environment for everyone. We always have friendly student assistants and a facilitator ready to welcome first-time participants. A simple self-introduction at the start helps break the ice!

A: No registration is needed.

Just check the email announcement for the date and location, and come join us! We also send reminder emails to all students before each session.

Q: I’m not a native English speaker. Can I still join?

A: Of course!

You’re welcome to prepare notes if you like, and our assistants and a facilitator will be there to support you.

You can even use translation tools if necessary. The more you use English, the more comfortable you’ll become—so no worries!
